About My Business |
|
The main purpose of my business is to help 11 to 18-year-old pupils improve their examination grades as well as their knowledge of mathematics. The lessons are tailored to suit individual pupils’ needs, whether they be preparing for 11-plus, sixth-form college or university. There is a strong emphasis on past examination paper practice. Extensive sets of revision notes, worked examples, and past papers from AQA, Pearson, OCR and OCR MEI are provided for pupils at GCSE, IGCSE, AS (Pure) and A2 (Pure) levels. Study notes are now online (as PDFs) through the Tuition Services page. Although my tuition work is mostly local to Bury Metropolitan Borough, there is also the option of tutoring small groups of 2 to 4 pupils, and I am willing to travel to much of Greater Manchester and neighbouring parts of Lancashire depending on my workload. Please see the Fees page for details. My tuition sessions can be either one hour or two hours long, with breaks for pupils. The one-hour sessions are not normally available if the pupil’s home is more than about 10 miles away from the tutor’s.
